Zoro.com is an industrial and commercial products marketplace owned by W.W. Grainger. MeTEY connects to Zoro using a file-based workflow rather than a live API.

💡 Zoro works differently from the other platforms

Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce all connect through live APIs. Zoro uses EDI via SPS Commerce for full automation, so MeTEY instead offers a straightforward file exchange:

  • Export inventory and pricing from MeTEY as CSV files
  • Upload those files to the Zoro Seller Portal
  • Download order files from Zoro
  • Import them into MeTEY to create orders

What You Get

⚠️ What Zoro cannot do

  • Manual steps required - files are uploaded and downloaded by hand
  • Not real time - updates are batch based
  • No automatic order polling - orders are imported when you choose
  • No listing creation - new products must be listed in the Zoro Portal first

Prerequisites

Step 1: Add the Zoro Channel

  1. Open E-Commerce → ⚙️ Channel Configuration
  2. Click Add Channel
  3. Select channel type Zoro.com (File-Based)
  4. Give it a name, for example "Zoro US Marketplace"

Step 2: Enter Your Details

Credentials are encrypted before being stored.

Step 3: Configure Sync Settings

Zoro should be set to file-based sync throughout:

Step 4: Map Your Products

Before exporting anything, link MeTEY products to the SKUs Zoro assigned you.

  1. Open E-Commerce → 🏷️ Product Mappings
  2. Select your Zoro channel
  3. For each product set the MeTEY product, the Zoro SKU, a pricing strategy (cost plus, markup percentage, or manual) and the multiplier
  4. Save each mapping

Day-to-Day Workflow

1Export inventory and prices

Go to E-Commerce → 📤 Export & Push to Platforms, select your Zoro channel and export. MeTEY generates a CSV with current quantities and your calculated prices.

2Review the file

The CSV includes a header describing what it contains and when it was generated. Adjust quantities or prices if needed before sending.

3Upload to the Zoro Seller Portal

Log into your Zoro Seller Portal and upload the file using their inventory or pricing upload tool.

4Import orders back into MeTEY

Download the order report from the Zoro portal, then import it in MeTEY to create orders for picking, invoicing and shipping as normal.

💡 How often should you upload?

Because sync is not real time, upload inventory as often as your stock turnover requires - daily is typical for fast-moving items. Between uploads, Zoro shows the quantities from your last file.

Troubleshooting

Problem What to do
Export file is emptyNo products are mapped to this channel. Add mappings under Product Mappings first.
Zoro rejects the uploadA SKU in the file is not recognised. Confirm each Zoro SKU in your mappings matches the portal exactly.
Prices look wrongCheck the pricing strategy and multiplier on the product mapping.
Quantities on Zoro are out of dateExpected - Zoro only reflects your most recent upload. Export and upload again.
