E-commerce Integration connects MeTEY with five major online marketplaces, enabling real-time bidirectional synchronization of orders, inventory, and product listings.

Supported Platforms

Amazon eBay Etsy Shopify WooCommerce Zoro.com

MeTEY integrates with six marketplaces. Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce connect through their official APIs for real-time data exchange. Zoro.com uses a file-based workflow - you export CSV files from MeTEY and upload them to the Zoro Seller Portal.

Order Synchronization

How It Works

  1. Customer places order on marketplace (Amazon, eBay, etc.)
  2. MeTEY checks marketplace every sync interval (configurable)
  3. New orders are detected via platform API
  4. Order is imported as a QOI with status = ORDER
  5. Order items are matched to MeTEY products by SKU or product ID
  6. Inventory is automatically reduced
  7. Order appears in QOI list with platform badge

Order Mapping

Marketplace Field MeTEY QOI Field
Order ID QOI Number (prefixed with platform code, e.g., AMZ-123456)
Buyer Name Customer Name (or default marketplace customer)
Shipping Address QOI Shipping Address
Order Date QOI Date
Order Items QOI Line Items
Total Amount QOI Total

💡 Product Matching Logic

MeTEY matches marketplace items to products using:

  1. SKU Match: If marketplace SKU matches MeTEY product ID (primary method)
  2. Listing ID: If product was listed from MeTEY with platform listing ID stored
  3. Manual Match: User can map unmatched items during import
  4. Create New: Option to create new MeTEY product from marketplace listing

Manual Order Import

You can manually trigger order imports:

  1. Go to E-commerce Dashboard
  2. Find platform card
  3. Click "Sync Orders Now"
  4. System fetches and imports all new orders immediately
  5. Results shown: Orders imported, items matched, errors (if any)

Inventory Synchronization

Sync Modes

MeTEY supports two synchronization modes for inventory and prices:

📡 Real-time Sync (Automatic)

Best for: Keeping marketplaces instantly updated with MeTEY changes

  • Inventory changes in MeTEY automatically push to platforms
  • Price changes sync immediately
  • No manual intervention required
  • Updates happen within seconds to minutes (depending on platform)

📤 Export & Push Mode (Manual)

Best for: Batch updates, scheduled updates, or manual control

  • Generate CSV exports from MeTEY on demand
  • Review data before pushing to platforms
  • Update multiple products at once
  • Full control over when updates are sent

Real-Time Push Updates

When real-time sync is enabled, inventory changes in MeTEY automatically push to connected platforms:

Automatic Updates

Manual Push

  1. Go to E-commerce Dashboard
  2. Click "Push Inventory" on platform card
  3. Select products to update (or "All Products")
  4. Click "Update Inventory"
  5. System pushes current inventory to marketplace

Export & Push to Platforms

The Export & Push feature lets you generate inventory/price files from MeTEY and push them to marketplaces on demand.

⚠️ Important: MeTEY is the source of truth. This feature exports data FROM MeTEY and pushes TO platforms, not the other way around.

  1. Go to E-commerce → Export & Push to Platforms
  2. Select your target channel (e.g., "Amazon US Store")

  • Optional: Download CSV for your records
  • Verify data looks correct before pushing

🔍 Behind the Scenes

When you push to a platform:

  1. MeTEY uses product_sku (your internal SKU)
  2. Looks up channel_sku from product mappings table
  3. Calls platform-specific API with channel SKU:
    • Amazon: SP-API XML Feed (POST_INVENTORY_AVAILABILITY_DATA)
    • eBay: Trading API JSON calls
    • Etsy: Open API v3 REST
    • Shopify: Admin API GraphQL
    • WooCommerce: WP REST API
  4. Platform updates inventory/prices on live listings

Export History

All exports are tracked for audit purposes:

View history at the bottom of the Export & Push page.

Configuring Sync Mode

Choose sync mode per channel in Channel Configuration:

  1. Go to E-commerce → Channel Configuration
  2. Edit a channel
  3. Under "Sync Settings" choose:
    • Sync inventory: Real-time / File upload / Disabled
    • Sync prices: Real-time / File upload / Disabled
  4. If "File upload" selected, set schedule (manual/daily/weekly)
  5. Save channel configuration

Note: Orders are always synced in real-time mode. Export & Push only applies to inventory and prices.

⚠️ Inventory Sync Considerations

  • Updates may take 5-15 minutes to appear on marketplace depending on platform
  • Some platforms have rate limits on inventory updates
  • MeTEY respects rate limits and queues updates if needed
  • Failed updates are retried automatically (up to 3 attempts)
  • Check sync status in dashboard for any errors
